Day started out drizzly and cloudy but we have driven out of it and then back in again. I shouldn’t expect it to be perfect every day. It was a beautiful day to see Mt. McKinley yesterday and we tried 3 different years to see it so I’ll praise Him in the sunshine and the rain.

Clouds so low you think you could touch them.

Forest so deep it feels like you could never find your way out.

Seems like water around every curve.
Mountains so high it’s impossible to capture by camera.

A bore tide, also known as a tidal bore, is a strong tidal phenomenon where the leading edge of an incoming tide forms a wave that travels up a river or narrow bay, reversing the normal direction of the current. The Turnagain Arm in Alaska is famous for its bore tide, a wave that can be seen nearly every day after low tide and is known for its size and strength.

They fence this section because the silt at low tide is like quick sand.
