Headed to Litchfield, CT

Wonderful Breakfast before we leave Bethlehem, NH
Cool enough so they had a fire going this morning.

There doesn’t seem to be much new home building except in large cities which we try to stay away from. Most of the homes we see are large, 2-3 story and quite old and with much charm.
“Get off the interstate and take the back roads”, as Jerry Dunn would say.
Flags are flying for Columbus Day in this little town.

The line was an insane about 30 person line.

Maple ham on a homemade crescent, turkey on homemade wheat, apple cider “Whoopi’s pie”, Mac& cheese , Virgil’s root-beer, maple walnut cannoli and chocolate eclair. Oh and a huge molasses cookie ( not shown)🤣
Going through eastern New York and western , New York and Massachusetts to go to our next night in Connecticut. Leaves 🍁 are not as pretty but fall is definitely is in the air.
Our 4 1/2 hour drive took all day.
