Crater Lake National Park

We went from sunny and warm, 60°, to snow banks 10ft. High, and frozen lakes, then nice again, to late afternoon rain, all in a little under 400 miles.

Just a few side notes… There are attendants at the gas stations to pump your gas, there is no sales tax in Oregon ( the nice man at one of road maintenance stops told us) and supposedly you can’t cut trees ( dense forest is why so many bad forest fires( so the drummer at church told us).

This is all you’ll see from us on Crater Lake. Got turned around inside gate. Need snow shoes and sadly we had none.
Higher than snow poles so over 10ft.
Bear Falls
Thielsen Mountain
Frozen Diamond 💎 Lake

Ice fishing 🎣

Can’t see him but there’s someone walking their 🐶 on the frozen lake.
Sometimes we forget we are old. This trail was slippery and icy.
Toketee Falls
This is made of wood, like a giant barrel.
This is part of the Toketee aqua duct electrical project. I think they need the little Dutch boy to plug some holes. (1949)
