Elephant Rock, Natural Arch, Summitville Mine Ghost Town, Park Creek Road

We’ve been in this area many times and never tried going down Park Creek. It was well worth it. So beautiful!
There’s still some snow at 11,800 elevation.
Had a picnic at the Ghost Town
Towering aspen trees. Pretty even before they turn yellow in fall.
These ponies came from nowhere.
Only God can make something so beautiful in dry parched ground!
Natural Arch
Marcia and I had a hard time at the Natural Arch. The climb was rough. Even Cameo clawed my leg for me to pick her up.
Can you see the elephant? Hence the name Elephant Rock😂
