Devil’s Kitchen near Nephi, Utah

We’ve been seeing hot dry days in the 90’s and cool nights in the low 50’s the last few days.

There have been rocks, mountains, valleys and wide open land. It’s the vastness of it that overwhelms me. The cities are large but once you leave them there is an emptiness that takes over. How do you live in such isolation?

The animals and land are dependent. They need sunshine and rain from Our Provider and then the farmers watch care. You can visibly see the difference between the ones that are cared for, fat cows and green pastures and the ones that are not and lay barren.

Do I let the busyness of my life, that I so often choose , leave my soul barren or do I soak in the steady quiet spirit of connection and dependence on my Heavenly Father. Am I Spirit aware? I need to stay consistent and deliberate not neglecting my relationship with the One who supplies my needs, directs my path, and strengthens me to go in the direction He leads , so that His presence is evident.
