Muncho Lake, British Columbia

Muncho Lake’s striking blue-green color is primarily due to the presence of finely suspended rock flour from glacial meltwater. This rock flour consists of microscopic rock particles that scatter sunlight, creating the lake’s characteristic turquoise or milky blue hue. Some sources also suggest the presence of copper oxide contributes to its unique appearance, though rock flour is the more commonly cited reason for glacial lakes in the area.

Trout River Mineral Lick
Beautiful mossy trail to walk.
A little too close to the edge Marcia!
Separated those peas from salad, no thank you!
I venture out with Pork Schnitzel at the Northern Rockies Lodge. It’s really just a pounded pork steak breaded with panko( they sure use that a lot) .Panko and dill must be their favs.
