On to Danali, AK by the way of Nenana.

It takes about an hour or hour and a half to prepare to leave on travel days. I don’t think that’s any longer than repacking a suit case. There are some messy jobs involved which the guys handle but I sure like my own bed.

The Nenana Ice Classic is an annual event in Nenana, Alaska, where participants guess the exact time the river ice will break up. A 30-foot tripod is placed on the ice, and when it falls, it stops a clock, indicating the time of breakup. The person who guesses closest to the actual time wins a prize.
The guys put their guess in.
