Where the deer and the Antelope play🎼

There’s not much to see on Hwy. 380 headed to Roswell, New Mexico. Scrub brush , dead looking grass and a few pronghorn (antelope)are about it. In a blog I wrote a few years ago I had mentioned the fact that antelope don’t jump fences. Although they are capable, they choose to go under. Before fences they roamed freely and never needed to jump and it seems they have decided there is no need to do so now. The problem is the lowest row of wire on a fence row is low and it causes them to scrape their back which sets them up for infection and frostbite in winter.

How many times does my behavior mimic the same. I do things because that’s the reaction or behavior I’ve always had and I don’t feel a need to change it. I am setting my self up for a infection of habitual sin to enter my body. Isn’t it funny how the fence gets the antelope from the back just like the deceiver sneaks up from the back at times to cause us harm? I have no excuse, Holy Spirit, is always there to teach and convict. I need to follow the example of my Savior and be open to have any path revealed to me that will help me grow in my spiritual well being.

Psalm 139:24

My prayer today will be

23Search me, O God, and know my heart;

test me and know my anxious thoughts.

24Point out anything in me that offends you,

and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
