12 But God made the earth by his power;
he founded the world by his wisdom
and stretched out the heavens by his understanding. Jeremiah 10:12

Gregg and I left on Sunday after church and stayed in Sherman, Tx, because we don’t like those 12 hour drives, like Wayne. We met them Monday in Amarillo , stayed at Overnite RV and ate at Big Tex. Tuesday we made it to Cottonwood Cove, South Fork, CO. The guys fished, we took walks and we played dominos at night. On Friday we rented a lime green side by side and went down Forest Road 360. Scenery was so pretty but road was ROUGH! Ate hamburgers at Freemans’( twice and there may have been a malt involved too) Mexican at Ramon’s , Canibal’s in Lake City with many picnic lunches along the way. Had grilled chicken and vegetables on Blackstone, with a breakfast of cast iron biscuits and John Wayne casserole at campsite.
Rented a jeep Sat. afternoon and Sunday to drive on Forest Service Road 310 and let me tell you, 360 had nothing on this road, only about 25 miles but didn’t get home til after dark. Roughest road ,if you want to call it a road, I’ve ever been on. We saw lots of mule deer and several moose. Monday we did Rat Creek Road, Bachelor Loop and Rio Grande Resevoir , again in the jeep. The boys fished Rio Grande, Deer Lakes and Piaget til Gregg discovered he broke his rod.
There is a high bluff beside the RV park that we have wanted to find the back side to and climb it so that we could see the RV’s below , we sat out for that on Wednesday. Parked on Poole Road , hiked about a mile to check that off list.
Blessings abound , Great time with friends , good food and lots of adventure for these old folks , anyway.

Had a picnic in a clearing beside a stream.

Cow moose enjoying evening meal.
